The 30-second version

Use Relax for your own wellbeing. Don't break it on purpose. Pay your subscription if you have one. Relax isn't medical care — if you're in crisis, please reach out to a human.

Your account

You're responsible for your account: keep your password safe, don't share it, and tell us if it's compromised. You must be at least 13 to use Relax (with guardian consent if your country requires it for under 16s).

One account per person. You can use Relax on as many devices as you sign in on.

Acceptable use

Use Relax for your own personal, non-commercial wellbeing. The following are not allowed:

  • Reverse-engineering, scraping, or trying to break the service.
  • Sharing or reselling your account, or accessing other people's accounts.
  • Using Relax to harass anyone.
  • Submitting content that violates someone else's rights, or that's unlawful.

If you break the rules, we may pause or close your account. We'll always tell you what we're doing and why, and give you a chance to export your data first when we can.

Subscription & billing

Relax has a free tier and a paid tier (Relax Plus). Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time in Settings → Subscription, or via the App Store / Google Play. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; we don't pro-rate.

Free trials become paid subscriptions unless you cancel before the trial ends. We send a reminder 48 hours before the trial converts.

If a charge fails, we'll retry a few times. If it still fails, your account moves to the free tier; nothing is deleted.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you write or record in Relax — journal entries, voice notes, the lot. We get a narrow license to store and display it back to you, and to operate features you've opted into.

When you delete content, our license ends. Backups roll out within 90 days.

Not medical care

Relax is a wellbeing tool. It is not a medical device, and it is not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, or therapy by a qualified professional. Coach is an AI; it can be wrong. Don't rely on Relax for emergencies.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out to a human: in the US, 988 (call or text), or your local emergency number.

Service & liability

We try to keep Relax up, but sometimes we'll be down for maintenance or because of a bug. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service.

To the extent allowed by law, Relax is provided "as is." Our maximum liability to you for anything related to the service is limited to what you paid us in the prior 12 months (or, if you're on the free tier, US$100).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll tell you in-app and by email at least 30 days before it takes effect.
