How we protect your data.
Your moods and conversations are yours. We never sell them, store everything encrypted, and let you delete it all whenever you like.
Your privacy matters
At Relax, we believe that your emotional well-being journey is personal and private. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
Account info: name, email address, and profile photo from Google Sign-In. Optional profile fields you add yourself — age, gender, pronouns, birthday, timezone.
Wellness data: your mood check-ins, journal notes, onboarding answers (mood/goals), habit and goal tracking, saved audiobooks, and streaks.
Coach conversations: messages you send to the Relax Coach are stored so your conversation has context, and are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate replies.
Purchase information: if you subscribe to Relax Plus, our billing partner Qonversion records your subscription status and purchase history. We never see or store your card details — Google Play handles payment directly.
Usage data: which screens and features you use, so we can fix bugs and improve the app.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, only for the purpose stated:
- Google Firebase — authentication and secure data storage.
- Google Gemini API — generates Coach replies from your messages, in real time.
- Qonversion — manages subscriptions and purchase history.
- PostHog — product analytics (feature usage, crash diagnostics) to help us improve Relax. Sensitive text you type is masked before analytics ever sees it.
- Ready Player Me — powers the optional avatar creator, if you choose to build a custom avatar.
Data security
All data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and stored with our providers' industry-standard encryption at rest.
You can request deletion of your account and everything associated with it — profile, mood history, coach conversations, habits, and saved activities — at any time from Settings → Delete account, or from our account-deletion page. Deletion is permanent and typically completes within a few minutes.
Children
Relax is intended for users aged 13 and older (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes & contact
If we make a material change to this policy, we will notify you in-app and update the date above.
